The normality for anyone after their arrest and release was to be counter interrogated. Feets, Rod and Greavey were contacted to meet with Doc two hours after their release on Friday. The interview an essential safety mechanism and it was past midnight when the gruelling questioning was over.

''Shut the door on your way out and stay close to home,'' was Davy Loughry, the OC's order.

''Ok, floor's open people.''

''Same as usual, keep them out of things for now,'' stated the Adjutant, Noel Tunney.

''Doc?''

''I agree, and better to err on the side of caution. Their stories are similar and expect the other two will be along the same lines but Greavey thinking being fed and watered is funny, is disturbing and I'm concerned about this suit walking in and out of interview rooms.''

''True Doc, and says he's got weight. He could be Intel, and why arrest teens to question them about the soldier killed in the hospital?''

''Unless, it wasn't two men but two teenagers,'' quipped Noel.

''Exactly my own thoughts Noel. C'mon Doc think, give me something, anything,'' said a troubled OC.

''We'll know more when the others get out.'' His reply.

''Ok then, looks like we're all on the same page. This meeting is over people, dismissed. Henry, hold back a moment please,'' requested the OC.

Henry waiting until everyone had left before speaking.

''Something bothering you Davy?''

''Greavey.''

''As I said to you weeks ago. Jimmy toes had no right taking Greavey to Turner who swore him in without being vetted was a blatant disregard for procedure and peculiar to say the least. Even more strange was that Turner then went to Eamon suggesting Greavey be placed with us because he was from this area and that hadn't known. What was more bizarre, was that Turner failed to mention that Greavey had avoided the whole selection process. Both Toes and Turner knew Greavey was from the flats and purposely avoided protocol to have him sworn in and placed into D company for a reason. I don't know why yet but I don't trust Greavey, his referees even less. My advice is get rid of him.''

''See it's done tonight Doc, a security matter will be good enough for Eamon. Get Frank to accompany you and for what it's worth Doc, when the other two get out, go hard on them. Another thing find out who the branch visited in the Cullingtree block.''

''That was our medic.''

''Our nurse?''

''You want me to talk with her?''

''No, it's the branch being mischievous because she works at the hospital. Leave her be. She's more trustworthy than most and worth more than many as you well know, close the door as you leave.''

Henry Halliday went home, burdened. What he hadn’t said, was that he’d already spoken to his aunt Minnie, and she'd told him everything.

We were released from the army barracks at 04:40am into a crisp chilly morning. Sauntering along footpaths laden with silver frost that sparkled beneath neon lights and a fairy ringed moon.
